At 19 years old, Amanda landed her first onscreen acting roles in the ABC drama for teens "Life as We know It" in the year 2019. In 2005, she made an appearance on "Smallville" while in 2006, she starred on the teens' drama 15/Love on YTV. In addition, she appeared on the CTV Drama "Whistler" between 2006 and the year 2008. Crew played a part in the romantic comedy titled "That One Night" in 2008. She played a back part in the supernatural horror film "The Haunting in Connecticut", and she played in a romantic comedy movie "The Break Up Artist" in 2009. Crew starred as the single heroin addict's mother in the thriller crime film Charlie Zone in 2011. Co-starred with Zac and Kim Basinger, in the thriller about a supernatural romance Charlie St. Cloud in 2010.
