Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to live by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path after she became dissatisfied by her lack of skill in the same way as others Royal Academy students. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her solo debut album Diva and it was released around 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You go... The album is also her debut independently-released album. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some success in the late 1970s. Later, Lennox was joined by her fellow artist Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career by releasing her first album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of such songs as No MoreI I Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
