Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born performer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox attended the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She studied the harpsichord and flute for 3 whole years. Lennox was able to survive on a student allowance, and part-time employment to supplement her income. Lennox when she was at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied with her performance compared to the other students. She started to think about different options. Lennox performed flute in a band formed in 1976 called Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to their appearance at the time of I.T.V's the talent program New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980, she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. She was introduced to Dave Stewart, with whom she formed the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began working for her debut solo album Diva in the year 1992. As a commercial album as well as critically it was a massive success. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record came out in November of 2014. The C.D. contains a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. The E.P. is a companion piece to the installation of art she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Her debut album that is her own.
