Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 70s. Lennox made it through on the stipend of a student, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox played the flute in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band before her band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. From 1977 until 1980, she was the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they created the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut record Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album was an enormous critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs from her childhood. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to the art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go...
