Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students as well as working part-time in order to earn a living. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different direction she would take. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British pop group. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they created the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox then went on to release her first solo album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. It was an enormous hit as well as sales and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album in conjunction with her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I Let You go." Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a performer. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to achieve international fame in 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox debuted her solo music career in 1992 by releasing the album Diva. Medusa is a studio album features the cover versions of some popular songs such as No More I Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with six studio albums solo as well as a compilation.
