Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox won a scholarship award to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to live on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied in her performance when in comparison to her classmates. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox performed flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. She quit the band shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo first album Diva. It was released in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top blues and soul from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a music producer and singer. After minor successes as a part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992 with the release of Diva with a number of successful songs such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album has cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with the release of six studio albums on her own and one compilation.
